The Return of the Moon Man

The Return of the Moon Man
By Eric Malpass

The Return of the Moon Man is a science fiction, humorous short story.
The story takes place in 2500, when a conservative and (sometimes) insensitive man that lives with his family on a farm, the anti-technological Grandfather Griffiths goes to the Moon in the place of an astronaut who has bitten his tongue. The Grandfather's wife (Gran), keeps waiting for him endlessly, until she loses her hope. Then, with a time machine, she travels in time back to 1954, and marries another man.  Eventually, Grandfather returns from the Moon and gets his revenge…
How does the story really end? Well, you will have to read it and find out for yourself!

Eric Lawson Malpass(14 November 1910 - 16 October 1996) was an English novelist noted for his humurous and witty descriptions of rural family life, in particular that of his creation, the extended Pentecost family. However, Malpass, also wrote historical fiction, ranging in scope from the late Middle Ages to Edwardian England.
Malpass acquired his most devoted readership on the continent, particularly in Germany, where most of his books were translated.
