The book that we are going to write about is actually the first volume of the saga.

Stephen Lawhead is considered one of the best contemporary writers of the “fantastic romance”. He was born in the U.S.A., but he is now living in Oxford where he has been investigating about old legends and Celtic wisdom.

The book tells the story of a warrior that is deadly wounded before the temple where Quentin served the God Ariel. Young Quentin will have to choose between a quiet life and an unknown way full of dangers. Together, with a group of loyal friends he sets off on an adventure that will change his destiny and drag him to a mortal conflict with Jasper, the conqueror and the sinister necromancer Nimrood.

Like many other books of the genre, the story is full of adventure and adverse situations.

It´s a quest for the safety of the king that was captured by Nimrood . It´s also a world of mysterious characters that, in spite of their differences, have joined as a team.

Besides the interesting story, this book also brings a good example of the importance of teamwork, companionship and perseverance.

It´s the kind of book you can read and enjoy in your holidays.
